Individual Services
In addition to our Intensive Outpatient Program, Recovery Maintenance Program, and Group Therapy Services, EDCSD offers a wide range of supplemental therapeutic services. These services are conducted one-on-one with a licensed professional who is devoted to assisting clients in their specific healing process.
Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy
Traditional psychotherapy sessions focused on your challenges, goals and dreams.
Individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
A leading therapeutic approach that combines mindfulness practices and assertiveness training with time-tested coping skills. This includes chain analyses of entrenched behaviors and personal “Symptom Response Plans” for lasting progress.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
A very effective modality that addresses issues of loss, trauma, abuse, anxiety and stress without being ‘therapy heavy’. EMDR is a gentle, non-invasive technique that assists the brain in reorganizing and releasing emotional charge without re-hashing or reliving difficult life events. EMDR is particularly helpful for less verbal, more concrete learning styles.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a gentle, non-invasive technique that directly supports the brain in improved functioning. This is accomplished by observing brain activity, in action from moment to moment, and training the brain to better regulate emotion and energy states. This is particularly helpful for more concrete, less verbal learning styles.
Expressive Arts Therapy
A safe, playful atmosphere that invites curiosity, intuition and spontaneity in order to spark your authentic expression. This will assist you with interrupting mind-chatter, preoccupations and inhibitions that cut off the natural flow of life.
Yoga/Movement Therapy
A combination of gentle, hands-on yoga postures, in combination with therapeutic dialogue and dialogue between parts of self, to increase awareness and gain access to inner guidance. This modality is particularly helpful for clients that struggle with body image concerns, expressing emotions, or understanding subconscious impulses.
Nutritional Therapy
A safe environment from which to explore issues of nutrition, food, body-image, weight, exercise, and overall well-being. This is particularly helpful in moving away from diet and rule oriented approaches to find the specific fit that works for you.
