Anorexia
Anorexia Nervosa, one of three main eating disorders, is generally characterized as a medical illness that may be diagnosed when a person weighs 15 percent less than the suggested weight for their height and frame. Symptoms of anorexia include difficulty maintaining healthy body weight, intense fear of weight gain and severe body image distortion. Common symptoms include being significantly underweight, highly restricted food intake, obsessive exercise, negative focus on appearance, isolation, control issues and low self-esteem.
